HASBROUCK HEIGHTS BOARD OF EDUCATION
WORK SESSION MEETING MINUTES
Wednesday, November 30, 2005

A work session meeting of the Board of Education was held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, in the Administration Building, 379 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. The meeting was called to order at 6:20 p.m. by President, Mrs. Carroll.

Mrs. Carroll read the following statement:

"Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meeting Act, Public Law 1975, Chapter 231, the Board Secretary caused notice of this meeting to be given to the public and the press on May 2, 2005".

Roll Call was taken by Joseph T. Bellino, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and the following members responded to their names:

Mrs. Carroll
Mr. Salerno

Absent - Mr. DeLorenzo, Mr. Ruroede

Also Present: Mr. Luongo, Mr. Bellino, Mr. Dzwilewski

RESOLUTION: Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public
PS-016-05 Meetings Act the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education wishes to meet in Private Session for the purpose of discussing matters of a confidential nature relating to
personnel and legal matters. .

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education adjourn to Private Session for the purpose of discussing such matters, and

Be It Further Resolved, that the public be informed of these matters as soon as the need to remain confidential is no longer necessary at a future date to be determined.

Meeting adjourned to private session at 6:21 p.m.

Meeting was reopened at 7:10 p.m.

Mr. Giarratana reviewed resolutions to be acted upon at the November 30, 2005 public meeting.

Mr. Giarratana commented on the following:

1. Outside organization requests to distribute information
2. Chaperone application
3. G & T criteria
4. NJ ASK testing.

Technology Committee

Mr. Parodi commented on the E-rate grant submission

Facilities Committee

Mr. Van Hook reviewed resolutions to be acted upon at the November 30, 2005 public meeting.

Mr. Van Hook commented on the following:

1. Depken field maintenance
2. Locks on field gates (Franklin Avenue side)

Recreation Committee

Mr. Van Hook reviewed resolutions to be acted upon at the November 30, 2005 public meeting.

Mr. Van Hook commented on a meeting with Wood-Ridge on cooperative sports.

Finance Committee

Mr. Bellino reviewed resolutions to be acted upon at the November 30, 2005 public meeting.

Mr. Bellino stated the committee met and discussed the following:

1. Audit review
2. Current budget review

Borough Council Liaison - No report

Faculty Liaison - No report

PTA Liaison - No report
