A regular meeting
of the Board of Education was held on Thursday, July 20, 2006,
in the Burnett Eglow Media Center, 365 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights,
New Jersey. The meeting was called to
order at 8:00 p.m. by President, Mr. Ruroede.
Mr. Ruroede read the following statement:
"Pursuant
to the New Jersey Open Public Meeting Act, Public Law 1975, Chapter
231, the Board Secretary caused notice of this meeting to be
given to the public and the press on July 5, 2006.

RESOLUTION: Be it Resolved that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education approve
the
7-131-06 following appropriation transfers as per Attachment A.
Be It Further Resolved that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education approves
the request to the Bergen County Superintendent of Schools for authority to transfer
$115,663 from employee benefits accounts 11.000.291.xxx to cover increased unbudgeted
costs for special education tuition, transportation and related services.
RESOLUTION: Be It Resolved that pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11-4 and upon consultation
7-132-06 with the appropriate district officials, the Board certifies that to
the best of its knowledge, no major account or funds have been overexpended in
violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(a) and that sufficient funds are available to
meet the district's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.
RESOLUTION: Be it Resolved that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education approve
the actual
7-133-06 payroll for the month of June, 2006 in the amount of $1,325,913.31,
and that the President of the Board, the Board Secretary, and the Treasurer of
School Funds be, and they hereby are, authorized to sign warrants up to and including
the above.
RESOLUTION: Be It Resolved that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education approve
the
7-134-06 estimated payroll for the month of July, 2006 in the amount of $500,000.00
and that the President of the Board, the Board Secretary, and the Treasurer of
School Funds be, and they hereby are, authorized to sign warrants in any amount
up to and including the above $500,000.00.

7-138-06 the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education approve the rental of 3 classrooms
and 1 office in the Middle/High School to Bergen County Special Services for
the Evergreen Program from July, 2006 to June, 2007 at the following fees:

RESOLUTION: Be It Resolved that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education approve
the
7-139-06 following lease-purchase agreements with Susquehanna Patriot Commercial
Leasing Corp. for the projects indicated:
1. Resurface Hitchcock Field tennis courts - not to exceed $28,880.80 per year
for 5 years semi-annual payments with a $1.00 buy-out.
2. Install security cameras at Middle/High School - $12,426 per year for 3 years
semi-annual payments with a $1.00 buy-out.
Be It Further Resolved that both agreements are contingent upon a satisfactory
review by the board attorney.
RESOLUTION: Be It Resolved that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education award
the following
7-140-06 insurance programs and brokers-of-record for the coverages indicated
for the 2006-2007 school year:

in Private Session for the purpose of discussing matters of a confidential nature
relating to
personnel, legal and student issues. .
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education
adjourn to Private Session for the purpose of discussing such matters, and
Be It Further Resolved, that the public be informed of these matters as soon
as the need to remain confidential is no longer necessary at a future date to
be determined.
