A work session meeting of the Board of Education was held on Thursday, December 21, 2006, in the Administration Building, 379 Boulevard, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.  The meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. by President, Mr. Ruroede.

Mr. Ruroede read the following statement:

"Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meeting Act, Public Law 1975, Chapter 231, the Board Secretary caused notice of this meeting to be given to the public and the press on May 4, 2006".

Roll Call was taken by Joseph T. Bellino, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and the following members responded to their names:

Mr. Giarratana reviewed the following committee meeting topics:
8th grade orientation CD/HSPA.

Mr. Giarratana reviewed resolutions to be acted upon.

Special Education Committee -

Mr. Salerno reviewed the committee meeting topics:
New assistants/additional pre-school/bring special education students back to district/student accident procedures.

Mr. Salerno reviewed resolutions to be acted upon.

Technology Committee -

Mrs. Ciocia reviewed the committee meeting topics:
Problems/new hires/computerized reportcards/classlink service contract.

Facilities Committee –

Mr. Condal reviewed the committee meeting topic:
Substitute custodians/Depken field/wireless clocks.

Mr. Condal reviewed resolutions to be acted upon.

Recreation Committee –

Mr. Condal reviewed the committee meeting topics:
Drug/policy/new coaches/policy.

Mr. Condal reviewed resolutions to be acted upon.

Finance Committee  -

Mrs. Hodulik reviewed the committee meeting topics:
Health benefits increase agreement – 1% to 11.5% for 11 month contract.

Mrs. Hodulik reviewed resolutions to be acted upon.

Labor Relations Committee – None

Faculty Liaison - No report

PTA Liaison - No report

Old/New Business - None

 

Private Session -

RESOLUTION:            Whereas, in accordance with the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public
PS-020-06            Meetings Act the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education wishes to meet in Private Session for the purpose of discussing matters of a confidential nature relating to
                                                personnel issues.                                                            .

                                                Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education adjourn to Private Session for the purpose of discussing such matters, and

                                                Be It Further Resolved, that the public be informed of these matters as soon as the need to remain confidential is no longer necessary at a future date to be determined.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
